Save Our Heroes
Save Our Heroes (SOH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2015, and is devoted to passionately advocating, supporting, and helping military service members and their families, who are facing false allegations, wrongful military judicial action, and those who have been wrongfully convicted.
Our Directors, Advisors, and Volunteers are men and women from a wide variety of professions; including current, former, and retired military members from all branches.
In a cooperative effort with similar organizations, we advocate on pending cases, work towards fact and evidence based solutions to improve and reform the military justice system, and to prevent future injustices and abuses.
Three First Steps to Restore Fundamental Fairness to the military justice system:
1. Remove all Commanders authority from decision making in the legal system.
2. The number of panel members should be increased to 12 for all General Courts Martial.
3. Any conviction at Courts Martial shall require a unanimous verdict.
Our team’s message of removing the Convening Authority position, a jury consisting of twelve people, and unanimous consent to convict. These three changes, all mirroring the civilian system, will mitigate the political pressures and the resulting injustice. In addition, Save Our Heroes is requesting Congressional Hearings on the military judicial system. Save Our Heroes believes Congressional Hearings are paramount to restoring justice.
